  1. Camille, I'm a recently called Primary chorister and I love you blog. You have such wonderful ideas. Thanks you for sharing. One question…how do you sing so many songs each week/month without feeling like your singing solo? I generally try to fill the time with 2 -3 songs but feel like the kids are bored. But the thought of making flip charts or thinking of actions for many more songs is too overwhelming. Any ideas??

    1. Natalie, good question. I usually don't sing this many songs EVERY month but since we have no program to prepare for, I can sing whatever I want. When I do activities where we are singing a lot of songs (like this week with my Fall Leaves activity) I will bring the CD player with the songs on CD AND post the words to every song. This helps so I'm not a solo act!!

For the Senior Primary I'll sometimes pass out 10+ songbooks to the 20 or so kids to share and they sing along with the songbook. For whatever reason, they really respond well to having a songbook in their hands.

But most months when we are preparing program songs, we'll just learn that one song for the month. If you follow my posts for the rest of this month, I'll go into detail of how we'll be singing all these songs. If you have more questions, let me know.

Good luck with your new calling!
      ~Camille
