Depending on my time, I’ll continue on to the verses and finish the following week with whatever I don’t get to.
I’ve cut out the following circles (write the keyword that’s below each circle on the backside) and laminated them:
Download this document using the access button below (there are more pages than what’s pictured above).
They will go on colored paper headbands using plastytac or tape. I’ll have 4 kids at a time come up front and dress up like a soldier. Putting on blank headbands, capes, shields, swords, whatever else I can come up with. The 4 up front will face the Primary and I’ll gradually add a circle to each of their headbands.
We’ll sing the line that corresponds to the headband picture and add on until I’ve gone through all 4 pictures. Then I’ll rotate the kids out and do 4 more pictures until I’ve completed all 3 verses and hopefully every child has had a chance to come up and dress like a Stripling Warrior!
Thank you to a few blogs for sharing your FABULOUS clipart! Susan Fitch Design HERE and OCD Primary Chorister HERE to name a few!
Find another variation of teaching this song HERE.
And if you liked Susan Fitch’s artwork, she has an amazing “Putting on the Armor of God” that would be a fabulous singing time to review this song! Find it HERE.
Print it as a big poster, cut everything out and play on the chalkboard. Put lines of the song on the back and if the kids can guess the correct words, they can dress their doll. Love it!

Thank you for this Army of Helaman clipart and teaching idea. I used it in primary today and it went really well. The kids were enthusiastically singing and loving the warrior costumes and headbands. Thanks!
Great resource, Thanks!
Attempted to print off the stripling warriors but only got a light version. Any chance of putting up a new post with a good copy?
Thanks for all of your helps.

Hi Cherie Lynn,
I've updated the post so it has a regular-print version.
