Do you ever get annoyed when a child repeats EVERY. WORD. YOU SAY? Well, this singing time activity gives your primary children permission to repeat your every word! In this instance, it’s a great thing when kids repeat whatever you say! Use this repeat parakeet review activity in singing time to review any song!
There are 2 print options, depending on your needs. One option is colored for you:
The other option is black and white. Feel free to color this one OR, print enough copies for children to color and create their own puppet!

Print on card stock. Cut out and assemble the puppet on a brown paper bag according to the instructions.
TIP: Attach the wings using scotch tape – that way when you go to store the puppet, you can easily remove them.
If you want each of the children to have their own puppet, but don’t want to go to the trouble of creating a paper bag parakeet for each child, try this:
Make 1 paper bag puppet for you and then make a several on sticks for the kids to hold. See more details.

I made tiny stick puppets for the children (just from an image I found on Google) to help them be involved but thought it would be less distracting than having a loud paper bag. It also cut down on my prep time a ton. Thank you so much for your organization and all your great ideas!
