Then in September, stay tuned for a fun month of reviewing our program songs all with a Treasure Map theme! It should be X-citing!! For our primary, October usually consists of 2 weeks spent actually reviewing the program (one Sunday in the primary room and one Sunday in the chapel). I usually don’t do too much with my review activity on those 2 weeks with the exception of hanging it on the chalkboard and advancing items if need be.
I’m still coming up with the details and would LOVE any input you may have! I would like for it to run like other program reviews I’ve done in the past (mostly like my Road Trip Review but find all of them HERE) with weekly review activities that coincide with advancing toward the end goal.
Here are a few ideas I’ve seen that I’ll hopefully be incorporating:
Arrrrr We Program Ready HERE (This Treasure Map would be our guide as we advance to each stop each week)
I love your site! I love the idea of the treasure map to ready for the program. I was brainstorming something similar and would love to hear what you do. O think I'm going to do Mad Gab for "diction desert", play with our bells for "pitch point", trying to think of something for rhythm river or something with missing words. Still brainstorming. Excited to see what you do!
Teaching hymns in singing time is HARD! But with this list of favorite Primary singing time ideas for teaching I Know That My Redeemer Lives will make teaching a cinch!
These singing time ideas for teaching the Primary song, A Child’s Prayer will help your Primary fall in love all over again with this song! My favorite is using a match-up activity that puts the double melody together! But whatever you choose, these A Child’s Prayer singing time ideas are bound to accommodate your Primary’s learning style and needs!
You may notice a recurring theme for teaching The Holy Ghost in singing time … simplified ASL. However, if signing isn’t your thing, check out these other singing time ideas for teaching The Holy Ghost.
