Camille's Primary Ideas: Friends Are Fun singing time idea
This primary song, Friends Are Fun, is a wonderful way to demonstrate kindness, especially to visitors in primary.  It’s also a great song to sing with non-religious groups!  See how I’ve done that below!

Sing to Visitors

To sing to visitors, bring an inflatable beach ball and have the visitor gently toss it to a primary child who tosses it back to them, then repeating with other primary children as the primary sings the song to the visitor.

Make sure to post the words until the song becomes more familiar.  See how I do that HERE.

The song talks about playing and staying with friends and this is a simple yet fun demonstration of playing kindly with a friend!

I have other songs we like to sing to visitors HERE if you are interested.

A Perfect Wiggle Song

Friends Are Fun  is also great to use as a wiggle song – check out my Wiggle Worm Jar HERE!

I also have a bell chart for Friends Are Fun that uses chords.  You can download my chart at my Resource Library.  Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are at the bottom of this post.

If you need more information on using handbells in primary, check out my post HERE.  My Friends Are Fun bell chart has no sharps so you only need the basic 8-note set.

Valentine’s Day Class Party

I teach this song using actions and the bell chart in my kids’ school classrooms during their Valentine’s Day parties as well!  It’s a great song all about kindness and elementary students LOVE the handbells just as much as my primary kids!

Another great song to bring into elementary school during Valentine’s Day is We Are Different.  I do the same with that song.  Check out that post HERE if you are interested.
