Make sure you don’t miss this!!
(this is from a few years ago – pictured from left to right: fellow music leader Barbara, Sister Graham and me)
I was browsing Day Murray Music’s website HERE and noticed that Pat Graham’s workshop in January has been posted! She has 2 sessions this year and if it’s like last year, they offer a Facebook Live event as well! If you live close (or not) I’d HIGHLY suggest attending! Below are a few more details:
Pat Graham Workshop
Teaching Primary Music Workshop
Friday, January 18th 2019 1:00pm – 3:00 pm
AND Saturday, January 19th, 2018
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Day Murray Music
4914 South State Street, Murray
801-266-3537
Price: $10.00
Come for ideas on how to present music to your primary singers as well as navigating the new meeting schedule. Join us for either of these presentations and learn from a master teacher! **Please bring your Primary Songbook.
Again, I’m pretty sure you attend through their Facebook Live event. To attend either way (live or Facebook Live), you must pay the $10.00 fee.
Reserve your spot as soon as possible as seats fill up quickly! And I recommend arriving early as parking is limited.
If you are unfamiliar with Sister Pat Graham, she is a “retired” General Board member who helped put together The Children’s Songbook. She, and along with a few other board members, also created A Children’s Songbook Companion (find details about the book HERE) which is a very valuable tool. She has a great teaching technique and always has some fun ideas of how to teach the current year’s primary program songs.
A few years ago I received special permission to record her workshop. If you are interested in viewing it, you can find details HERE (which was 2013 but she’s always got new ideas every year). I won’t be recording it this year, or posting notes as it’s now available online.
I’m going to Saturday’s workshop and am wondering if anyone wants to go to lunch afterward at Italian Village 5370 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84117…comment if so! It would be so fun to get together!!

Hi Camille! I'M SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR BLOG!!!! I wanted to say THANK YOU.
Also, I have a question about the Pat Graham workshop. I live in New Mexico and would like to attend the Facebook Live Event. Do you know how I go about signing up for that? I have browsed the website and don't see a place that offers it.
Thanks for all of your help and teaching me how to become a chorister!
-Ashlee
Hi Ashlee!
When I registered for the workshop, they sent me an email with information about the FB live event. I registered for the Saturday one but I'm assuming if you register for either date, you'll get the FB information. I hope that helps!

Helps a ton!
Thanks Camille!

Camille, I had run across your blog Sat afternoon and saw the workshop. I was saddened to know I had missed it. I have attended her workshops in the past and I know how good they are. Is there any way I could get notes from it. I am calling Day music to be added back on their email list. NOt sure I why I didn't receive
Hi Alice,
I'll bet if you paid the $10.00 to "attend," they will invite you to the FB group where both workshops are recorded for viewing over the next year. Definitely call Day Murray and ask.
~Camille
I'd love to hear if that is an option. I posted this question on their website, but haven't seen a response yet. I didnt see your post until after it had passed. I am in AZ and wouldn't have been able to attention it in person either way. But I would have loved to get some ideas on this new 2 hour schedule plan. I got called a couple of weeks before the new year and I feel like I'm floundering.
