  1. OK. Found your blog and am grateful. I just started in this calling, having never done it before and am super intimidated. So I have a lot of questions. and your blog has answered many.

In your outlines for each week – how do you treat the opening/scripture hymns etc? I know that I will be spending time teaching the lesson songs, and am preparing for those, but I am concerned about the kids knowing the words to the other songs we open with. Do you spend time teaching them the words at all to these songs, or so you just jump in and have them do their best (aka, sing a solo sometimes?)

I am trying to find a good balance between filling the time, not going over, and keeping the kids from being bored. Any suggestions welcome. 🙂

  2. Hi Phililp,

I post words to almost EVERYTHING we are not working on memorizing. It ensure that teachers and any kids who can read, will sing. It's been my biggest help! You can check out more details on how I do that here:

This way, I have a few songs each week that we just "plow" through and sing, then I also have a few songs that we learn, memorize and polish for the program. It's been a good way to find balance.

    I hope that helps some.

    ~Camille

  3. Carmella,
I have been try to modify the friend conference print out, the words are really small, I tried to enlarge the Image-but the word are blurry. Do you have any suggestion on how to make them bigger or are you planning to work your magic on this later this month?

I still have the conference once from a few years ago that you edited and they are great. How every- they don't have the New apostles Gong and Soares.
    thank Jamie
