This week we’ll be reviewing I Feel My Savior’s Love using the simplified ASL I taught a few weeks ago with a fun twist!
Find my lesson plan HERE. I decided to give myself a break and only teach the 1st verse (it’s also a great time to introduce your Mother’s Day song as well if you are singing in sacrament meeting)! So instead of teaching more verses this week, I’ll be adding scarves to review! They add a fun dynamic to singing time!
I purchased mine from Amazon. Check them out in my shop HERE.
To review our simplified ASL using the scarves, I’ll usually review the signs with the primary before bringing out the scarves. Then I bring out the scarves – we just hold them in one hand as we sign. Then repeat several times using them. I use scarves quite a bit in singing time so if you are considering getting something for your primary, I HIGHLY recommend these!
You can also see what we’ve been working on in April HERE.
Easter is just around the corner! Prepare yourself for Easter in singing time by getting a set of handbells for your primary! Next to Christmas, Easter is my favorite time to pull in handbells in singing time!
In case you aren’t already aware, there is no singing time on Easter Sunday. That means no Singing time 2 weeks in a row. First General Conference directly followed by Easter. But if you plan your singing time in April accordingly, you have nothing to worry about!
Check out these singing time ideas for teaching the hymn Did You Think to Pray? in singing time! There’s bound to be something to accommodate your primary’s learning style and needs!
