Tara on the Primary Music Leaders Facebook Group shared a WONDERFUL idea for teaching Sleep Little Jesus in singing time using Christmas symbols! Sleep Little Jesus is a beautiful Christmas song, one that is often overlooked. I loved her lesson plan so much that I had to share, even though I’m not teaching it this year. I’m thinking it will be added to my December schedule next year, however ;).

You can find her original post HERE. Tara shared with me her files and I’ve added them to my Resource Library. Gain access to my Resource Library by using the access button at the bottom of this post.
The activity is simple, learn each line by bringing out each associated symbol and read its meaning. I’d also recommend posting a flip chart on the board as well to help with the words. I love the Sleep Little Jesus flip chart found HERE that you can download.
All my printables are free and can be downloaded from my Resource Library. Access to my Resource Library is sent to you via email and not linked here.
