It’s almost time for the 2020 Pat Graham Workshop! Hurry and sign up as you won’t want to miss this valuable singing time resource!
More details for the workshop are on Day Murray Music’s website HERE
. There are 2 sessions again this year and if it’s like last year, they offer a Facebook Live event as well! If you live close (or not) I’d HIGHLY suggest attending! Below are a few more details:
2020 Pat Graham
Singing Time Workshop
Friday, January 17th, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
AND Saturday, January 18th, 2020 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
4914 South State Street, Murray
Come for ideas on how to present music to your primary singers. Join us for either of these presentations and learn from a master teacher! **Please bring your Primary Songbook.
Again, I’m pretty sure you can attend through their Facebook Live event. To attend either way (live or Facebook Live), you must pay the $12.00 fee (call Day Murray to pay). If they are offering the FB live, you’ll be added to the private Facebook group where it will be streamed.
UPDATE: Day Murray Music said the person who set up the live feeds doesn’t work there anymore and so they won’t be able to offer it this year. They said to call back next week to see if anything has changed. So if anyone up there in the valley has the time and skills to offer Day Music your skills in setting this up, it would be greatly appreciated for those of us who don’t live in the area or State, or Country.
Reserve your spot as soon as possible as seats fill up quickly! And I recommend arriving early or carpooling as parking is limited.
If you are unfamiliar with Sister Pat Graham, she is a “retired” General Board member who helped put together The Children’s Songbook.
She, along with a few other board members, are also the authors of A Children’s Songbook Companion.
This is a very valuable singing time tool! Find details about the book HERE
. Sister Pat Graham has a great teaching technique and always has some fun ideas of how to teach the current year’s suggested primary program songs.
Sister Graham is also the author of several other books. I’ve got more details on those in my post HERE
if you are interested.
A few years ago I received special permission to record her workshop. If you are interested in viewing it, you can find details HERE
(which was 2013 but she’s always got new ideas every year). I won’t be recording it this year, or posting notes as it’s now available online.
I’m attending Saturday’s workshop and would love to get together afterward! If you are interested, let’s get a group of us to to go to lunch at Italian Village 5370 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84117. Leave a comment or contact me if you’d like to come!
It would be so fun to get together and meet some of you!!
