Keep track of singing time! Your primary will better stay on schedule with this customizable singing time clock printable! If you’ve ever been short on time or wondered what-is-supposed-to-happen-when in primary, this clock printable is for you! Primary presidencies, primary music leaders, pianists and primary teachers all benefit!
This is Part 9 topic in my SINGING TIME ORGANIZATION SERIES!

Have you ever prepped for a lesson plan only to have someone else take all your time? Isn’t it SO frustrating? I put a lot of work into singing time each week and I expect to get my precious allotted 20 minutes of singing time. And when I don’t get it, watch out!
To combat this frustration, I’ve come across multiple singing time clock ideas but none are a download-and-print version. All I see is something someone crafted and created all by hand. Which is wonderful but it doesn’t make for easy sharing!
I have been working on this singing time clock printable FOREVER and I’m so excited it’s finally finished! The clip art is courtesy of Susan Fitch HERE! Doesn’t she always make primary and singing time look SO SO good?
The singing time clock printable includes sections of time for the following:
- 10 minute transition time
- 5 minute opening exercises (2)
- 20 minute singing time (2)
- 5 minute transition time
- 20 minute class time
These timeframes are suggestions found in the Instructions for Singing Time on the church’s website HERE.
I specifically left text off the clock printable. This way it can be more widely used, with any language by readers and non-readers alike.
The images are also arranged to be circular around the clock. This is so any section can be placed anywhere around the clock and it still looks correct.
To Use:
This clock printable fits around the perimeter of most standard-sized clocks – 10 inch, 12 inch or 14 inch. Measure your primary’s clock. Then print the page that best fits around your primary’s clock (it doesn’t have to be exact, just close). Depending on the clock size you print, the width of the printable is 4.5 inches to almost 6 inches wide around the clock. All sizes include options for Jr. and Sr. primary combined or Jr. and Sr. primary separate.
If Jr. and Sr. primary are combined, use the singing time & class time 20 minute sections. If Jr. and Sr. primary are separate, use 2 20 minute singing time sections, omitting the class time section.
Please note that not all the sections are meant to be used. There are options to create your own custom primary schedule.

To Print:
I HIGHLY recommend Costco’s 20 x 30 sized vertical poster board (it comes mounted) for $19.99 HERE. But any professional printer will work. I have both JPEG and PDF files available to download so use the file that works for you.
Make sure to print the size and page option (Jr. & Sr. separate or Jr. and Sr. combined) that fits with your primary’s clock size and schedule. Both combined & separate options are available on one page (pictured above) for the 10-inch clock. For the 12-inch and 14-inch clock printables, separate and combined options are on 2 different pages:

Once printed, carefully cut out the sections you need with a good pair of scissors (and your muscles!). All sections may or may not be used. I found it easiest to cut apart each section then to cut each section out individually:

Then arrange the order of your sections to fit your primary’s schedule:

Once it’s cut out, tape the sections together on the back to create your customized 60 minute primary clock schedule. I used packaging tape.
Tiled Option

I do have a tiled option that you can print at home. I haven’t printed it and am not sure I recommend it but it is there. Each section is printed in pieces that you cut out and put together. The sizes are close but not exact.
To Hang:
Remove the clock from the wall, then add the printable. Hang the clock. Adjust the printable so it is centered around the clock and tape it to the wall. If you have a shared building, you might want to try to have the printable be easily rotated using small command hooks around the clock both on the outer and inner edges like I’ve pictured here:

To Purchase:
This singing time clock printable is available to purchase in my shop for $15.00 here:
After you place your order, you will receive a link with all the clock printable pages to download. There are in 3 folders to choose from – JPEG, PDF and TILED PDF folders. Costco will require a JPEG file. Download and print as many copies as you need for YOUR primary. Once purchased, please do not share the file or link with anyone else – I appreciate your honesty. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
