March 2020 singing time song suggestions are When I Am Baptized, Dare to Do Right, and A Child’s Prayer. All are wonderful songs that have been taught in singing time within the last 3 years or so. March has the potential to be an easy month, a month to catch up or a way to get ahead!

That said, I’ve chosen to get ahead. I will be deviating a little from the March 2020 song suggestions and teaching I Will Walk with Jesus. Find my lesson plan HERE (I’ll be updating it soon with my ASL notes!). It was introduced at the Face-to-Face with Elder Gong in October 2019. It’s not part of the 2020 Music for Singing Time song suggestions so if you don’t have intentions of teaching it, don’t worry!

I want to get a jump start on Easter as we’re singing this song in sacrament meeting Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday falls the Sunday right after General Conference this year.
But never fear! I have lesson plans for each of the suggested songs to be taught in March! So pick whatever you like or what works best for your primary. I’ve linked all my lesson plans below:

When I Am Baptized
If I had to pick my favorite singing time lesson plan, this would be it! Check out more details HERE. This song has been taught several times in the past few years so most primaries should already be pretty familiar with it.

Dare to Do Right
Another song suggestion is Dare to Do Right. This was last taught in primary in 2017. I have a simple lesson plan HERE to teach this song. It incorporates a fun code for the kids to decipher and ways for the children to be “daring.” I’ve also linked a medley you may want to check out while you’re there!

A Child’s Prayer
This 2-part primary song by Sister Janice Kapp Perry is always a hit! Once it’s learned, sing the different parts together with my review necklaces! Check out more details HERE.
