I am a newly called music leader (since June), and share it with another sister. The primary already has a cabinet with an expanding file folder where there are some teaching pages from previous people they have collected. I love the idea of starting to make my own file system but then do I also still try to share everything? What would you suggest? We have been in charge of our own things so far (each taking out own songs to teach), so I feel collecting my own things would still be beneficial. Thanks!!

Welcome to singing time! Maybe I’m just a control freak but I like to keep mostly everything I get. So I pay for it myself and keep it. If I have the ward pay for it, then it definitely stays in the closet with the calling. I’ve also found that when I leave stuff in the closet, it doesn’t get used. New Primary music leaders have different styles than I do or they don’t even know what to do with it. But if anyone ever wants to borrow anything I have, I always loan it out.
