Camille's Primary Ideas: Singing Time Organization Series Cover

Peppered throughout my website are several posts I’ve written that are part of my Singing Time Organization Series.  I’ve recently spent time updating and organizing them (I find this kind of ironic!)!  They are now all linked to each other, have updated content to reflect recent changes made in primary and look like they belong as part of a series ;).

These posts mostly stem from answers to frequently asked questions I see in regards to singing time.  Topics range from organizing your 20 minutes on Sunday to what laminator is best.

If you are struggling with this calling, it might help you to get organized!  Check out all my tips by reading them in order or just read the ones that interest you the most!

Singing Time Schedule

Part 1 HERE

You might be the most familiar with part 1 – it’s how I schedule my allotted 20 minutes in singing time and goes hand-in-hand with how I create my singing time schedules each month!

Singing Time Binder

Part 2 HERE

Part 2 is all about my infamous singing time binder!  It’s multi-functional and no primary music leader should be without one!

A Monthly Routine

Part 3 HERE

Discover how helpful it is to have a monthly plan!  With my simple weekly rotation, you’ll have time to teach the suggested primary songs, review songs for the program and sing something seasonal!

Filing

Part 4 HERE

You might eventually find yourself with quite the singing time collection after a while in this calling!  Make it work for you and file everything so you can use it time and time again with my simple filing system.

Laminators

part 5 HERE

Laminating helps protect the work you’ve done so you can re-use it, thus helping you save time and money!  What laminator to purchase is always a hot topic between primary music leaders.  See what I own and recommend!

Magnets

Part 6 HERE

Magnets are also something you don’t want to be without in singing time!  What seems like such a trivial item, can really help you in singing time!  No more sagging material on the board if you use the right magnets!

When Teaching

Part 7 HERE

I absolutely LOVE this tip!  Get organized when up front teaching by keeping all of your materials together!  Seriously, no more fumbling around or making a mad dash to the library for chalk/markers/erasers anymore!

Limited Resources or Time

Part 8 HERE

Stay organized in singing time by keeping things simple!  Going all out each and every week can get expensive and stressful!  Check out what resources I recommend!

Keep Track of Singing Time

Part 9 HERE

What good is it to have prepared and planned a lesson if you never get to present it?  Check out this nifty tool to make sure you always get your allotted 20 minutes each Sunday and keep everyone on track!

Singing Time Tote Bag

Part 10 HERE

Stay organized in singing time with the perfect tote bag!

How do you stay organized in singing time?  Or what else would you like to see here that would be helpful?  Let me know!  I’d love to keep adding to my Singing Time Organization Series!!

Magnetic Tape

Part 11 HERE

This tape is a game changer!  It’s fast, reusable and I need to make more lesson plans just so I can use more of it!

How do you stay organized in singing time?  Or what else would you like to see here that would be helpful?  Let me know!  I’d love to keep adding to my Singing Time Organization Series!!
