If you are looking to share a digital playlist with your primary for Doctrine and Covenants in 2021, look no further! I’ve got a fun and simple printable that will do just that! It makes for a great Christmas gift, especially when paired with a Doctrine & Covenants coloring book!

I can’t take much of the credit except updating this for the current year!
Many thanks go to:
- Natalie who is the mastermind behind the original idea! She shared her 2020 version HERE which I simply updated for 2021
- Kelsey put together the 2021 spreadsheet information HERE
- Allie created the 2021 YouTube playlist HERE
- Susan Fitch shared the artwork HERE
I highly recommend thanking all of these women and am sure they’d appreciate it! With all this help, putting this all together was a snap!
Here’s the Digital Playlist for Doctrine & Covenants 2021:

You can access my printables at my Resource Library. Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are found at the bottom of this post. I’ve also added 2 other documents – one without all the heading information in case you want to add your own and one without the QR code again, so you can insert your own. Thank you for the suggestions on this!
To edit PDF’s (if you are on a Mac):
- Download the singing time schedule PDF document
- Open the document in Preview and click on Tools > Annotate > Text
- A text box will appear in the middle of the document. Drag and drop it to where you’d like to type text
- Repeat with more text boxes (can copy and paste works well) until you’ve filled the document
- Easy!
I suggest printing on card stock front-to back/2-sided (so one sheet of paper) then laminating. This way they can be hung on the refrigerator and used the entire year!
I own a laminator. More details on laminating can be found HERE.

Our primary will be handing these out as our Christmas gift in lieu of a CD. We are phasing out CD’s. But if you still want to create a CD, check out my post HERE for more details. And don’t worry, every year I’ll keep updating CD posts in addition to these Digital Playlist posts so you can always choose! I know I’m old school but I still love the CD’s!

If you really want to go all out, hand out both!
D&C Coloring Books
Then to accompany the digital playlist, our primary ordered enough Doctrine & Covenants Coloring Books for each child. Order them HERE.

Each family gets 1 laminated playlist sheet and enough coloring books for each primary child. For example, if there are 3 primary children in a family, they will receive 1 laminated digital playlist and 3 coloring books.
Then we tie each package with ribbon, attach a tag and voila! A wonderful, meaningful, useful gift from the primary that can be used for home-centered primary next year!

Find all of my tags in my Resource Library as well, filing instructions are also at the bottom of this post.

I’m super excited for this new gift idea and hopeful they will be used in homes all year long! If you want to check out more primary gift ideas for birthdays, scroll through my posts HERE.

Check out updates to our Golden Birthday Ticket HERE geared to be home centered!

Where do you typically print your pages? I found that we would need 45 of these and to have them printed in color costs about $50. Do you know a cheaper way of doing this? Thanks!
I bought a printer a few years ago that I LOVE! So I print mostly everything at home. I don’t have much advice except to keep looking to find a printer that’s not too expensive. Sorry I’m not more help! Here’s details on my printer if it helps: http://camillesprimaryideas.com/2019/04/printer-for-singing-time.html

Do you have an editable file of the Digital Playlist schedule(so we can add our own QR code with our own playlist)?
Hi Coralee,
I don’t…I created the file in Photoshop so unless you use Photoshop, the file will be useless to you. But I’ll upload a few blank options that you can edit the PDF in case that helps. Thank you for the feedback!

I love this idea, thank you so much for creating it! Too bad the coloring books are out of stock until mid-January…we might have to modify the idea a bit.
Would you consider creating a version that includes the songs for each week (as listed with each CFM lesson in the family manual)? As we have been doing our home church we have been doing that song each week and it works well for our family.
Hi Kristi!
I’m happy you like this idea and am sorry that the coloring books are out of stock – bummer! I wish I had time to modify this list for you. The original one took me hours to put together and I just don’t have the manpower to do another variation. And that’s using everyone’s help with the spreadsheet and playlist. I do have a Google sheets document I can share with you that you can edit to add any of the music your ward is using. Then you can create your own QR reader (just google it) and YouTube playlist.
I have noticed that a lot of the songs suggested in the family edition of CFM are the same as the singing time ones. You could always hand out this list as a good place to start. Anyway, sorry I’m not more help!

I totally understand! Thanks so much for all of your work–your site is the first place I turn to for ideas every week!
Thanks Kristi!

This is all excellent. I’m especially pleased to have all the videos in one bookmarked YouTube file. What a time saver! Love the spreadsheet also. Less flipping back and forth on my phone, etc.
I’m glad you’ll find it helpful!!
