Looking for an easy way to recognize all your primary children’s moms in singing time? Try these Mother’s Day singing time coupons!
The activity is really simple and doubles as a great Mother’s Day gift from the primary children! A win-win!
I created this Mother’s Day Coupon booklet:
Access my printables at my Resource Library. Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are found at the bottom of this post.
Create the booklet
Print a booklet for each child. Either have children cut out their own or cut them out before singing time. Hole punch each corner and bind them together using ribbon, string, book binder rings, or whatever you can find!
Mother’s Day Activity
For the activity, the children will fill in each coupon with something that relates to a Mother’s Day primary song:
- Mother, Tell Me the Story p. 204 – Go to sleep when told
- Grandmother p. 200 – Give you a kiss and a hug
- I Often Go Walking p. 202 – Bring you flowers
- My Mother Dear p. 203 – Sing to you like the bluebirds
- Mother Dear p. 206a – Try to please Heavenly Father
- Dearest Mother, I Love You p. 206b – Use gentle words and be kind like you
- Mother, I Love You p. 207 – Help and mind you
After each song is sung, have the children fill in their coupon with the related coupon item (younger children may need help from a teacher – or pre-fill theirs before singing time). Note that there are more coupons than songs. This way the children can fill in a few coupons with anything they like.
Post the words as needed like I do HERE.
Or show a sing-along video with each song. I created a playlist HERE or use the Sing-Along videos found in the Gospel for Children App.
Encourage children to give their booklets to their moms for Mother’s Day!
This Mother’s Day singing time coupon activity can easily be modified for a home centered singing time. Simply have the children watch the sing along videos then fill out each coupon with the related action.
