The Plan of Salvation

I love incorporating The Plan of Salvation to teach I Am a Child of God!  It brings a difficult concept (the plan of salvation) onto their learning level – that they are a child of God.

If you have time, I HIGHLY suggest my lesson plan HERE.

To teach this in a short amount of time, have the children put the puzzle pieces in order.  Display “illustration” section on the image above.  Give them a few minutes to memorize the illustration then take it away.

Then have them put it in order before you finish singing the song.  Best suited for Sr. primary but Jr. can do it with lots of prompting as well.

Bells

If time permits, try my bell charts HERE!  Bells really bring to life songs kids already know!

ASL

ASL is always a great option as well!  Holly has videos for teaching I Am a Child of God using ASL.  Check out her explanation video HERE.  Once you learn it, sign along with her HERE.

If you want something that’s signing but even simpler and really engaging for Jr., check out these Finger Actions HERE.  So clever!
