When your primary program is finished, pass out a treat attached to an adorable {yet simple!} treat topper! Your primary kids will definitely appreciate the kind gesture after all their hard work this year.

There’s nothing quite like putting your feet up after your sacrament meeting presentation is over! You and the kids deserve it! You’ve practiced your songs (maybe using my Restoration Review activity found HERE.)

Worked really hard on sacrament meeting talks and parts (find my outline HERE if you still need help with yours!)

Practiced and reviewed to put the finishing touches on the program (find some tips and tricks HERE if you like!).

Now it’s time to kick back and relax in singing time! Pull out a treat, sing some fun primary songs and read comments on the program (check out my comment card HERE).

For a quick and less-mess (if that REALLY exists with kids!), I put together this treat topper. Attach it to a variety of treats for the kids after your program is over as a big THANK YOU!
A HUGE thanks to the suggestions HERE for the clever treat topper ideas!! I seriously couldn’t do this without all of you!
Treat Topper Option #1
The first treat topper option says, “FAITH IN EVERY FOOTSTEP. Thank you for walking the TRAIL with us this year!”
My original plan was to attach this to trail mix. Cute, right? Unless your kids have nut allergies OR just don’t like trail mix (I know my own kids at home just pick out the m&m’s – grr!).

So I thought instead of trail mix, Honeycomb cereal would be better. The shape is similar to wagon wheels! And what adult kid doesn’t like dry cereal as a treat?

A large box makes about 9-10 sandwich-size baggies. Fill each with about 1 1/2 cups of cereal.
Then add the treat topper:

Simply cut out, fold on the dotted lines and staple each corner to a sandwich size baggie.
Treat Topper Option #2
As an alternative, I also created this treat topper that attaches to pop corn (popped or un-popped!). It says “Thank you for a POPPING great program!”:

This is also available at my Resource Library to download.
So pass out a treat, read some kind comments from the congregation and sing (just a little!). If you are like me, you probably didn’t get to teaching this month’s suggested songs. So this week is a great time to squeeze one or all of them in!
