It seems like The Church of Jesus Christ has been suggested a lot in singing time lately! However, if you want something slightly new, I HIGHLY suggest teaching the 2nd verse!! It’s a whole new song in and of itself!

I LOVE to teach the 1st verse of The Church of Jesus Christ using a scavenger hunt! Reason being, this song offers pieces of a testimony that can be found at church! I have a few variations posted throughout my blog.
Around the Building
If you have the entire church building available, this is my favorite option! Check it out HERE. It uses Susan Fitch’s printables found HERE.
Outdoor Turned Indoor!
Another variation is an outdoor scavenger hunt HERE. However, if you want to keep it indoors, hang pages randomly around the primary room. Have the pianist (or phone) play the song as the children go around the room to find the answers! Come back together and check answers when everyone’s finished!

Build a Church Building
This is an easy alternative to a scavenger hunt! I love what The Friend suggests HERE for building a church building. Do this if a scavenger hunt isn’t an option for your primary.
Write phrases of the song on different building pieces and build them in order! Even easier, write the phrases on large strips of paper and build your church building on the board using tape or magnets!

Optional 2nd Verse
If your primary KNOWS this song, don’t skip the 2nd verse of The Church of Jesus Christ!! This will easily become a primary favorite if you do! Check out more details HERE. FYI … it’s not in the Children’s Songbook.

These printables are filed on my Resource Library page under Song Title > The Church of Jesus Christ.
