For this activity, you need are some bugs and some songs that need some work!
Denise originally shared her bugs review activity HERE. The activity is so clever and fun that I knew that it needed some Susan Fitch flair! And Susan didn’t disappoint!
Singing Time Bugs
For the bugs, I suggest you use Susan Fitch’s new bug clip art set HERE.

Included in PREMIUM Singing Time To-Go Subscriptions
If you are a member of Singing Time To-Go PREMIUM, these bugs are included in your April subscription!
However you get your bugs, print on card stock, cut out and laminate.
Balloons
Find enough balloons for each bug. Blow up balloons (not to full capacity) and attach to each bug using tape. {see a variation below that doesn’t require any balloons!}.
Flyswatter
Then you need something to swat those bug balloons! Tape a few tacks to a {clean} flyswatter. {again, see the variation below that doesn’t require a flyswatter either}.
I found this one at the dollar store.

Or find them online (Amazon affiliate link):

Singing Time Review Idea
Before primary, hang your bugs attached to balloons on the board.
TIP: You may want to have enough bugs and/or balloons so all children have an opportunity to pop one. Or only you pop each balloon as each bug is worked out and they get to choose which bug. It’s no fun if not everyone gets a turn.
Tell the primary that some of our primary songs need some work. Or, said another way, you need to work the bugs out! Choose a song with an area that needs work. Sing it until it’s good, or rather, you have worked the bugs out!
You or a child (or a few children) come and squash a bug (or a few bugs) using the flyswatter.
Repeat with new songs and new children until all the bugs have been worked out. And/or all the children have had an opportunity to squash a bug.
Bug Variation
Monica shared another version HERE that doesn’t require any balloons or swatting.
Instead of balloons, place bugs on the floor around the room. Before primary draw a large jar on the board. Have a child (or a few children at a time) collect a bug when a bug has been worked out in one of your songs. Place it in the jar on the board using a magnet or tape.
Repeat with new songs, children and bugs until all the bugs have been placed in the jar.
