Father's Day Songs by Shawna Edwards singing time ideas

Shawna Edwards is such a wonderful resource for adding a little variety to your singing time lesson plans!  Especially for the various holidays!  And Father’s Day is no different!

Shawna Edwards has 2 songs that are perfect to teach to your Primary this Father’s Day!  Shawna says about these songs:

Have you noticed that there aren’t that many Father’s Day songs out there? One of the reasons why is because they’re so hard to write.

Gone are the days when a majority of children had a father in the home. And so it becomes a challenge to write something that’s universal.

Here are two songs that work for most everyone – the child can sing to their dad – or to the ‘father figure’ in their life.

Perhaps these songs can help you, your children, and your grandchildren take a moment to remember how thankful you are for the Fathers in your life.

Because these songs are not published by the Church, make sure to get your bishop’s approval before teaching them in singing time.
