Use this singing time idea to teach Home in singing time! All you need is the drawn outline of a home and some DARLING images from Susan Fitch! Help your Primary children feel the love of Heavenly Father wherever they call home!
Sing the Primary song Home around Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, or any other Sunday for that matter! You can never go wrong sharing with children that they can feel Heavenly Father’s love anywhere they may go!

Home Singing Time Idea
Tell the Primary that not all families consist of a mother, father, and children. Some children live with their mothers, or fathers, or grandparents or others. Whatever your family situation is, your home is a place where you can feel the love of Heavenly Father and the love of family members.
As you and the teacher sing the song, draw the outline of a large house on the board. Also place the prepared images outside the house on the board using magnets or magnetic tape. Post the words as needed like I do HERE.
Tell the Primary that all the pictures are represented in this Primary song, Home. Sing the song again. Walk around the room and tap good singers to place an image inside the house when they hear it sung. Repeat until all images have been placed inside the house in order.
Time Permitting
Time permitting, invite a child to go out into the hall. Have the Primary choose an image to remove from the board. The child in the hall returns and must determine which picture is missing as the Primary sings. Repeat with a new child and new image.
Home Handbell Chart
If your Primary has handbells, play Home using this chart that utilizes chords!
