I am in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, the creator of this at home program motivator!  I first saw it on Marci Preece Music HERE a few years ago.  Then I’ve seen it recreated HERE and HERE.

So I’m just jumping on the band wagon because I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  Hopefully my Primary kiddos will love it too and {fingers crossed!} participate.

Printable

This is my variation:

Access my printables at my Resource Library.  Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are found at the bottom of this post.

If your songs happen to be different than what I have listed, I also created a blank version:

This is also available in my Resource Library.  To edit, I suggest using the PDF version and adding text boxes.  The font I used is Comic Sans.

Then create your own YouTube playlist and unique QR code.  The easiest way to create the QR code is to right click on your YouTube playlist and select “create QR code for this page.” Then insert it into your document as an image.

Print enough copies for your Primary kids and cut in half.

Attach to Program Parts

I suggest attaching the incentive to program parts when they are initially sent home.  Check out my 2023 Primary Program Script & Outline HERE for help with parts if you need.

Then include an invitation with the date and time of the program.  Never assume parents know when the Primary program is!  Check out my 2023 Primary program invitation and sacrament meeting bulletin cover.

Reward Ideas

Now what to do for that special reward??  If your Primary doesn’t have any food allergies or restrictions, a food treat is definitely the easiest and cheapest route!  Our Primary kids jump at the chance for an Air Head or sucker!  Or try a can of soda!

However, if you need a few more non-food ideas, here are a few (Amazon affiliate links):

Fish Stamps

What kid doesn’t love stamps?  This fish stamp pairs nicely with the New Testament (Amazon affiliate link)!

Squish Toys

Marci did squeeze toys as her reward!  Super cute!  Like these (Amazon affiliate link):

Party Favors

If you can’t decide, let the kids do it and get a whole bunch of various party favors for them to choose from!  Like these (Amazon affiliate link):

Spy Pens

Kids LOVE invisible ink!  Try these spy pens:

The sky is the limit!  If you have a creative reward in mind, leave a comment with your suggestion!

  1. I’m trying to create my own Youtube QR Code, but many of the songs are labeled as ‘content for kids’ so I can’t save them to a playlist. How did you get around this?

    1. Hi Kristen!

What I’ve found to get around this issue is to search for the sing along video using YouTube’s search feature. You should see the song in a list of videos relating to your search. You should also see 3 dots over to the right. Click on those and there is an option to save to a playlist there. I hope that helps!
