When We're Helping History

This information comes from Stories from The Children’s Songbook by Sister Pat Graham.

Wallace F. Bennett is a bass soloist, and his wife, Frances, plays the piano. In the 1940s, Brother Bennett served on the music committee of the Primary and the Sunday School General Boards. For a children’s program, he wrote the words “When We’re Helping” to a familiar tune. For many years he served as ward choir director and as a United States senator from Utah.
