Every child needs to feel the Savior’s love for them! Help your Primary children feel the love of the Savior with these Primary singing time ideas for I Feel My Savior’s Love.
Something I’ve learned from teaching singing time for so many years is children (and adults alike!) love and crave variety! It prevents burnout and boredom.
My favorite singing time supplies are those that create variety because they can be used in multiple ways. And scarves contain endless uses!
I HIGHLY recommend using scarf actions to teach I Feel My Savior’s Love! Scarves incorporate the gentleness of the Savior and the overall feel of this beloved Primary song. I know your Primary is sure to enjoy the scarf movements as they’re definitely a favorite in my Primary!

Find the sheet music to I Feel My Savior’s Love on the Church’s website. The lyrics define how and where to feel the Savior’s love:
1. I feel my Savior’s love In all the world around me. His Spirit warms my soul Through ev’rything I see.

The pageant III Nephi was presented at the Marriott Center on the University of Utah campus in 1979. This song was written for the scene portraying the Savior as He appeared to the Nephites…
The 1982 Children’s Sacrament Meeting Presentation included an additional verse emphasizing service for the song. The verse was included in the Children’s Songbook but because of the length of the song the following chorus, was not: “In this I will follow him: Give all I have for him; To feel my Savior’s love, To know my Savior loves me.”
Teach I Feel My Savior’s Love in singing time using these simple scarf actions. Your Primary will LOVE tossing scarves, waving them and creating various movements as they sing.
Teach I Feel My Savior’s Love, using simplified ASL. Make sure to also incorporate scarves once the signs are learned!

The instructions are fairly simple:
Print on card stock then cut out the sun and sunbeams. As you sing the song, place the sunbeams around the sun in order.

Emily shared her unique idea on the PML FB of using sensory bags for teaching I Feel My Savior’s Love.
This is how Emily incorporated it into her singing time:
I love the emphasis of FEELING in this song so I decided these sensory bags would go well. I put things of different textures and feelings in brown paper bags.
I wanted them to have contrasting textures. I chose a silky piece of fabric, sticks I cut from a bush, hand warmers that I put in gloves so they could feel the heat, sand paper, and a fleece fabric.
As we sang the song, I walked around and room letting each child, teacher, and leader … reach in my bag and without looking, feel what was in the bag.
After I finished with one bag, I asked them to give me describing words of how it felt to them (they said soft, warm, scratchy, creamy, etc.) Then I asked them if that’s how they think Heavenly Father’s love feels.
When we were done with the song I quickly testified that Heavenly Father’s love may feel different at different times (like soft, warm, etc.) and that it doesn’t feel scratchy and pokey.
It’s important to pay attention to the feelings that we have in our hearts so we can Identify his love In our life.

All I have is the 2 to a sheet, sorry about that. You could try printing them at 200% to see if you can enlarge them but I’m not sure if that would work.

The flip chart of “I feel my Saviors love” the one with the real pictures .. not the cartoon one,
on the page where it begins, I feel my Saviors love:

Will you tell me where to find it again?
Also I am not saying what Im about to say cuz I have money because i do not.
What I would like to know is it ok to share this with my singing time teacher as she really doesnt have any money, then I can print off what we want to use. We are both fairly new to this and enjoy the help we have found here just wanted to be sure its ok. I will always be the one that keeps the subscription though.
