Eraser pass is a simple activity you can do with ANY song! Choose keywords from the song and write them on the board. Then group those keywords with 2 other words not found in the song.
As you sing the song, have a child erase one word not found in the song. After their turn, they pass the eraser to another child to erase another word. When finished, only the keywords remain.

There was some beautiful artwork of stripling warrior mothers in the flipchart and video that I’d love to use but was concerned about copyright issues.
I use Canva and do a presentation that I can download as PDF and print to use as a flip chart. I like that I have the flexibility to customize it for a specific singing time. The first time through, I play the visual presentation, and we sing with the recording. The kids have really enjoyed learning songs this way, and it goes faster. I’ve used this only for songs not in the Songbook, but the kids and teachers enjoy it. This is certainly not for everyone, but it’s working for us.
