Bring the county fair into singing time with this county fair Primary singing time review activity! Combine the fun of farm animals, carnival rides and various fair activities to Primary songs to have your Primary experience a fair during singing time!
I have several other singing time activities in this format and they are ALWAYS a hit in my own Primary! What makes these activities so successful is that they incorporate several key components:

Print on card stock and laminate (optional). Cut out the children and attach to craft sticks. Then cut the fair activities in half.
Write up to 8 songs on the empty signs that the 8 county fair children are holding. Whether they be program songs (which is what I recommend) or something seasonal like these summer/fall themed Primary songs in the Children’s Songbook:
Before Primary, hang all the fair items on the board around the “COUNTY FAIR” page (except the blue ribbon item) to create your county fair.
Choose a county fair child which indicates the song to sing. Post those words using this flip chart format as needed:
As the Primary starts singing, hold the child on the stick in front of the various fair items. Slowly move the county fair child around to the various areas. When the child “visits” a fair activity, do that action listed.
The activies listed are:
Repeat with a new county fair stick child containing a new song.
NOTE: Primary children can optionally come to the board and move the stick child around.
When finished singing all the songs, hang the blue ribbon item on the board. Ask the children to vote for their favorite song to receive the blue ribbon award.
