This popular sacrament hymn entered Latter-day Saint hymnody in Deseret Sunday School Songs in 1909, only ten years after its first publication in a gospel-song collection. It has gone through three sages of musical revision.…Each step of this musical revision has made the hymn easier to sing.

Anther idea for teaching I Stand All Amazed is a word scramble (best for older children who can read). Print the words (use the flip chart for posting the words) and cut them out, individually. Place in an envelope (create multiple envelopes for large Primaries).
During singing time, let small groups of children (or classes) gather on the floor to put them in order as you and the teachers sing. Post the words as needed.
