Would You Rather is a simple game where players are presented with two hypothetical situations and must choose which they would rather experience. This edition focuses on questions centered around the pioneers!
Review ANY Primary songs you’ve learned so far for the Primary program OR sing pioneer songs which is what I HIGHLY suggest! Scroll down for more details on which pioneer song is perfect for this activity!
For this review activity, you need the 16 Would You Rather cards. They contain these pioneer related questions:

Print on card stock, cut out and laminate (optional). Get more details on the singing time offices supplies I use and recommend.
Before Primary hang the “Would You Rather…” cover page at the top of the board using magnets, tape or magnetic tape.
To play, simply read one of the cards then place it on the board. Children must choose which option they would rather do. Then quickly and quietly they must move to a side of the room according to their selection.
Once the 2 groups are formed based on what everyone would rather do, sing the song. Post the words using this flip chart format as needed.
Repeat with a new card, thus creating new groups while singing a new song as time permits.
As mentioned, ANY song(s) can be sung with this activity. The pioneer song Whenever I Think About Pioneers is a double melody, meaning the 2 different melodies can be sung simultaneously! Making it perfect for this activity!
One side sings verse 1 then the other side sings verse 2. When the first side sings verse 3, the other side sings verse 4 at the same time.
Take it one step further and add chimes! One group sings while the other group plays the chimes. They switches!
