Teach the lesser-known Primary song, Teacher, Do You Love Me? in sing time using a simple squiggle map! It challenges your older Primary children while allowing lots of movement for your younger ones!
Have you ever noticed the footnote in the Children’s Songbook for this song? It suggests substituting the word “mother” or “father” as alternate to the word teacher! Making this a FANTASTIC choice to sing for Mother’s or Father’s Day!
Also, the 3rd and 4th verses are an adults response to the child’s questions asked in the 1st and 2nd verses. So optionally, ask the Primary teachers OR another ward member to optionally sing the 3rd and 4th verses.

For this activity, I also suggest something for children to hold as they move with the squiggle map. Any of these work really well including:
TIP: or keep it really simple and just use fingers!
As you and the teachers sing, demonstrate how to use the squiggle map by drawing each of the shapes in the air using your finger. Children can follow along with their fingers. Post the words using this flip chart format as needed.
Repeat again, but pass out a wand/scarf/pencil/finger light to each child and do the squiggle map using the wands. Continue repeating, asking what words are sung with each squiggle.
