Old Testament Flashcard Printables
For this review activity, you need flashcards for each of the songs you want to review. I created these Old Testament flashcard printables for the following 8 songs:

The easiest way to create your own Mad Gab is to use ChatGPT! Simply fill in this prompt:

Then just keep fine tuning it until you get a result you like.
Old Testament Scripture Reference
For the scripture reference, I like to reference the Come, Follow Me Old Testament manual. There is a reason why certain songs are chosen and that’s because they relate to the book of scripture we study.
However, the scripture associated with each Primary song is also a great source. But just know that the referenced scripture for each song is not always from the Old Testament.
Fill-in-the-Blank
The answer to the fill-in-the-blank cards is a key phrase from the song. Children must listen for the answer as the song is sung. After singing, have them reveal the phrase.
Old Testament Flashcard Singing Time Idea
Place the 3 January flashcards on the board. Guess the title of the Primary song by reading the Mad Gab song title.
Once determined, read the associated scripture.
Optional and best suited for older children: create a scripture chase by having 2 sets of scriptures available on a table at the front of the room. Allow the children to race to be the first one to find it. Then read the scripture.
Sing the song, posting the words using this flip chart format as needed.
As you are singing, have children listen for the answer to the fill-in-the-blank card. After singing, have children reveal the phrase.
Remove the January flashcards. Repeat with February through August flashcards until all the cards have been determined and the songs sung.
